Visa information ''ED'' to ''Tourist'' and then ''ED'' again

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I'm from the Netherlands and I'm 28 years young.

I would like to have some information about the next:

I'm now studing in Chiang Mai at a school in Chiang Mai on a ED visa, don't see a a lot of Thailand right now.

Want to travel on a Tourist visa Double entries (maybe 3 entries when i can take it) and see something from the country.

The woman from my school said to me that's not an option because I have to take 3 ED visa's in a row...... Is that correct?

Or can I go for a trip on a tourist visa (6 months) and after that take again a ED visa at a school?

The only visa I have in my passport is the ED visa I own right now, never had an visa before because I'm new in Thailand and the traveling world, I did visit Thailand 2 times before only for holiday 3 and 2 year's ago with the visa on arrival.

Also I would like to know about some school's arround Pataya or Trat, do they have soms Thai teaching schools that provide also ED visa for 12 months?

Thinking to move to that area....

I'm hoping to get some good answer's,

Thanks already

Best regards,

Rovas

The school woman is talking nonsense!

If you wish to obtain a tourist visa then just go and apply for one !

I have no idea about schools in Pattaya/Trat but you will not get an 1 year ED visa anywhere locally.

But after that Tourist Visa I still can apply again for an Ed visa? That will be my second ED visa....

I'm aware of leaving the country for apply the ED visa.

Best regards,

Rovas

pattaya has a lot of language school offering 1 year but you have to be aware the new rules in ED VISA in pattaya about paying in the immigration..for the extensions

Extension cost Bt 1,900 every 90 days. That is the same everywhere in the country. No need to pay more.
