KUALA LUMPUR: -- Malaysia's Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak issued a statement on Sunday on the anniversary today issued a statement on the anniversary of the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370, saying Malaysia remains committed to the search, New Straits Times reported.

Najib said in the statement: “Today, we stand united in remembering and honouring the 239 people, including 50 Malaysians, on-board MH370. Our prayers are with them and their loved ones left behind – whose sorrow we share.

“The disappearance of MH370 is without precedent, and so too is the search – by far the most complex and technically challenging in aviation history.”

The prime minister said Malaysia expressed thanks to the dedications of those who have help to find the plane.

“Together with our international partners, we have followed the little evidence that exists. Malaysia remains committed to the search, and hopeful that MH370 will be found,” Najib said in the statement.

The Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 diverted from its Kuala Lumpur-to-Beijing route shortly after takeoff on March 8 last year, and there has been no trace of the plane despite a massive surface and underwater search.

Hope they have deep pockets as I wonder how much longer Australia is going to foot the bill.

Up to Malaysia, they have been nothing but a scumbag throughout the search. Allowing the search to go on for days in wrong areas as per their own radar tracking, out of date maintenance, allowing the good folk of the world to search for a transponder that most likely had a dead battery and on and on. Up to Malaysia, hope taxpayers of the good hearted nations that have helped thus far are no longer stiffed by their BS.

A waste of money to do any searching until the day something washes ashore.
