short term visa for martial arts instructor

Featured Replies

Hi, I wanna get a martial arts coach out to thailand to teach at my gym for a short period (1-4 weeks). can anyone help me with what sort of visa they would need to get? And costs, requirements, process etc they will most likely be australian national if that helps.

Thanks in advance :)

A non-b visa would be needed. And then a 15 day urgent need work permit would be needed.

What will needed for the non-b will depend upon where it is applied for. In Australia one of the honorary consulates might be the best choice. An invitation letter and company documents might be enough.

Application form for the 15 day work permit is here. http://wp.doe.go.th/wp/images/form/Form_tt10.pdf

Rough costs? Time to process? Can work permit be arranged prior to arrival or has to be in thailand? Best to go through agent or do it ourselves?

The 15 day work permit is processed and approved on the same day applied for. I don't recall the cost for it but it is only a few hundred baht.

For a single entry non-b the fee is 2000 baht but will be a bit more than that because the embassy sets an exchange rate favorable to them.

It should not be hard to do yourself.
