Question about touristique visa

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I'm french, 32 year old.

At the moment I under a student visa, but on the 19th I would need to make a new tourist visa.

I have heard that you need to have 20000 baht on a Thai account, and an air plane ticket that probe yous will leave the country.

Is that true?

Also they mention that if you have a touristic visa during the last year, you won't be able to make another one. My concern is, I was under a Student visa and I don't know if that would count.

Thanks a lot for your advises.

What is required to apply for a tourist visa depends upon where you apply for it.

I have not heard of any embassy or consulate saying you could only have one tourist visa per year.

You will not need to show proof of funds or a ticket out of the country at most nearby embassies or consulates.

Thanks a lot for the information,

Where would be the easiest country to apply? Laos?

You can get a 2 entry tourist visa in Vientiane or Savannakhet Laos.

If you go Vientiane overland you will need a letter from your school stating you studies have ended to show Nong Khai immigration so they can cancel your extension or they (it is not a visa) will not let you leave the country.
