britmaveric Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 British Tourist Severely Bashed. In the very early hours of Monday morning police and Sawang Boriboon volunteers were called to the area on Beach Road in front of the Pattayaland Sois where they found a 50 year old British national in an unconscious state. According to witnesses, the man had been attacked by a group of three or four Thai men who were clearly intent on robbing him of his valuables. The British tourist was knocked to the ground during the assault and rendered unconscious, while the thugs made off with his wallet and watch. The man was taken to Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital where his condition is currently being carefully watched. Police are hoping he will be able to give them some idea of what happened and why when he finally regains consciousness. -Pattaya City News Monday 28th August 2006
kurgen Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 How do these packs of dogs get away with it? This happened within sight of the MAIN police station of Pattaya !! The Pattaya Police force should hang their heads in shame

The Pattaya Police force should hang their heads in shame You are of course correct. That said they were most probably preoccupied with rounding up all of the Ladyboys on Beach Road at the same time. What a sad indictment indeed. What a joke!

Pattaya_Fox Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Early hours...Beach Road....not a good place to be....I hope the guy soon recovers. These attacks can be over in a few seconds, especially when four of the cowards are having a go. More Police patrols are always welcome.

gbt71fa Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 British Tourist Severely Bashed. In the very early hours of Monday morning police and Sawang Boriboon volunteers were called to the area on Beach Road in front of the Pattayaland Sois where they found a 50 year old British national in an unconscious state. You notice how they seem to pick on older, possibly tankard, men walking by themselves? They never seem to have a go at a group of soldiers on holiday from Korea or even or a younger fit man who can defend themselves. That is why I always carried my trusty blackjack...yes, he should not have been there by himself and at that time of the day but that is no excuse for what happened. That is like saying a woman who dresses sexy is asking to be raped. That dog don't hunt. Probably the reason the police weren't around is they were pulling me over and trying to get 400 baht out of me...which caused me laugh in their face and tell them to ?*!# off. I hope the old guy is alright....
