kalexno
Hi all, we are moving to CM next month and have been offered a house to sub-let for 6 months. Will sub-letting and not having a proper signed lease make it hard to get our residency certificate that we need to get our Thai drivers licence? We will be staying in Thailand for longer than the 6 months. Any ideas???
Myran
When I got my motorcycle license a few years back I used a certificate of residence from my embassy (Sweden), since the morons at the Bangkok immigration office claimed they had no such thing. All I did was tell my embassy my adress (they didn't check it), and they wrote, stamped and signed a paper asking the Department of Land Transport to assist me in getting my license. The department acceptet it without any problems, so you might want to look that option up with your local land transport office as well as your embassy.
