She may Rest in Peace.

You ugly so and so, how did you manage to get such a beautiful wife?

Aiew is a friend, not my wife.

Having said that, my wife is beautiful, and I have no idea how I managed it...

Gosh, Costas. You surely have that knack at "foot in mouth" disease.

My wife heard me hyperventilating in the computer room and rolling on the floor in laughter and came in to investigate. I showed her Costas post.

Now she is rolling on the floor and hyperventilating. "Aiew fancies you hansum man? Not darling, not".

We have a sense of humor.

Sometimes I tolerate Costas, other times I could almost like him; like now..

And now my wife is saying "Tell Costas and Crazy Chef I am single".

Well done Gents...

I was hoping this thread would have a happy ending....uuummm...not that type of happy ending.

And so. When I am dead I want to be gently placed in a "small house" at the temple at Wongchumpu so my adoring fans can water me once a year at Songkran. I'm really not into getting blown up.

Ok, one for the masses. A massive explosion with a portion of my remains...

Anyway, back to GrandMa getting blown up.

Is this common??blink.png

Just had an extended discussion with the wife and she says that this is common in Issan.

Signifies that the people that loved her give her a push to go to Heaven.

Nothing to do with religion but just a custom.

Although, I'm thinking that's an over the top push.....it would have scared the "life" out of her.

Thanks Costas. I had no idea that this is a common custom.

"over the top"? Certainly. I seriously want a bit of me to go this way.

Can you ask your wife which portion that is likely to be?

And whether the ducks get first dibs?

yes, My mother inlaw went the same way, after being kept in an Urn for 15 years. I think it was a celebration/ceremony for the new home we sort of built. I,d like to go the same way with a bigger explosion.

Going out with a bang. Way to go!!

I want to go up in one of those festival rockets, then get scattered by the explosion at the end. Note - ensure I'm actually dead first.

And preferably cremated.

If not cremated, that would be one hell of a big rocket!! w00t.gif

That reminds me.

When I asked God to let me reach 100, I meant 100 years not 100 kilograms.

Some of those festival rockets would do justice to a Saturn 5 :)
