TOT Plc has announced plans to launch a new IPTV service which will allow anyone with an internet connection to stream selected TV programmes in Thailand.

Having previously launched its original IPTV service in 2012, available for a monthly fee of 150 baht, the new service, which will be delivered via TOT’s IPTV set top box will cost a one off payment of 3,500 baht and can be used with any broadband Internet connection, regardless of the Internet service provider.

If anyone gets hold of the box, can they extract the android APK and see if it can be run on other devices ??

I have no desire for the box, but running the app inside kodi could be appealing if the local servers are good.

that has been going on since day one of their service, so doubt it will change much

To be honest, didnt have success with the MX player add ons.. Need to give that another go..

I was testing some Thai streams for the missus.. As great as kodi is, theres some really easy to use android apps that provide superior UI feel than I have got Kodi for TV live streams so far.

Has anybody got a link to a list of the channels offered on the B390/B750 premium packages?

I do not know why I can't cut and paste the link but I will to type it :

http://www.totiptv.com/product/channel/Bytype.aspx

It is not clear what costs more "Choice SPlus" or "Choice Mplus"

...but I prefer to stay with True Gold

@fvw53: Thanks for that link. Yeah, it's not clear which "Choice" is which, and if one is a superset of the other. Still, nice to see they have a fair amount of English broadcasts. One that I would miss, though, is Bloomberg.

Poking around on the TOT web site, I finally found:

http://www.totiptv.com/choiceSPlus.html = B390 plan, 18 HD channels

http://www.totiptv.com/choiceMPlus.html = B750 plan, 33 HD channels

The opening post of this thread says that "anyone with an internet connection" can use the TOT IPTV packages, but using Google Translate on the TOT web pages, it sounds more like it's only for TOT broadband customers?

Originally, the TOT iptv set top box was only available to new or current TOT customers.

But since they've published the Android and Apple mobile apps people have been able to stream the FREE and The Lower Two Packages (available a la Carte) over any Thai-based Internet service.

The new service mentioned in the OP takes the iptv set top box and makes it available without having to be a TOT Internet subscription.
