Corrution is corruption. I believe that it's hard to beat the US. Yesterdays headlines here in San Diego spoke about Medicare being in grave danger and Social Security being in shaky condition at best.

In third world countries, in my opinion, is that this thievery is just more in your face. With more blatent, immediate and apparantly dramatic consequenses.

The governments here specializes in slowy bleeding the middle class gradualy to the last drop while more and more people live lives of "quiet desperation."

Our politititians are far more sophisticated in their tactics and in my opinion much better liars.

Here in the US the baby boomer sheep are having their rationalizations and illusions of financial security trashed by the daily news of impending financial disaster. But yes we are pulling out of the recession? :D

Largest trade deficit, consumer credit debt, federal debt in history and the highest unemployment since the great deppression. Did I miss anything?

In Greenspan's last address to congress or the senate he TOLD US it was immenant. He said we were heading for economic disaster if some thing radical was not done immediately.

Just as he came out and told us the last bid stock market crash was comming.

It not like we haven't been warned. The spoiled and fat American people are soon going to wake up with a big head ache after becoming levereged out to the max on plastic and home equity lines of credit.

All these other guys, come on that's kids stuff. Keep your eye on America for the next big show.

USA, we're #1, we're #1, we're #1 !!! :o

Yes, I agree with pepe

In the western world there is much more sophistication in the media manipulation by large companies and governments than the great CEO could ever hope to acheive.

he does not have the interests of the average thai at heart ( those that earn 3500baht per month ) , but owning that soccer ( football ) team may just heal that massive psycological wound that was opened when he was not picked for the under 6 representative team. You must keep in mind the important issues and not get sidetracked by silly flights of fancy involving electricity, water, healthcare and basic human rights.

:o

macdonalds and coke anyone?

Sorry, actually I just visited the bear pit for the first time. Interesting.

I had no idea that A US citizen making an observation about how corrupt polititians in his own country are was in any way innappropriate in this forum... :o

Very funny. We are trying to maintain our "social content rating", and avoid getting rated as a US Political Site, which has been happpening due to the bear pit. The problem being two or three members unable to go elsewhere and act like kids, and needing to demonstrate their knowledge.

When bearpit.net opens, you go play there when you want to throw political balls.

ha! that's nice !

well - it is obvious: the biggest propaganda machine and most advanced technology etc. naturally would be proportionally most corrupted while at the same time most sophisticated to cover that corruption.....

and yeah - of coz #1 :D
