Warranties and Cheap Lawyers

I have "Asked the Lawyer" here, but the response was totally useless, and it was suggested I post the questions here and perhaps help get the answers for everyone, so here goes (FYI the quoted responses are those from "Ask the Lawyer" on this forum)...

1) I asked "Does Thailand have the equivalent of Small Claims Courts that handle things like failure to fullfill Product Warranty obligations?"

You responded "the reply is simple there is what is known as the consumer protection act in Thailand"

The question was asking what type of court exists, but you respond with a Law. Please try again, is there a Small Claims court or similar in Thailand?

2) I asked how to find cheap lawyers, you responded saying you cannot recommend anyone, and they probably will not speak English. I do not want a recommendation, I do not need a lawyer that speaks English, and I don't need a lecture on you get what you pay for (FYI that's not always the case). I just to know how to find them, where they might advertise for example would be a nice start. There must be literally hundreds of small and cheap Thai legal firms in Bangkok.

3) I asked about packaging in respect to warranties, you completely ignored the question, so here it is again... What is with the very common insistence that packaging MUST also be returned for retailers to accept product returned under Warranty, surely the warranty applies to the product and packaging has absolutely nothing to do with it under the law?

4) You mention the Consumer Protection Act, but no explanation as to how it pertains to any of the questions.

5) You mention the option to "Sue" as if it is one of many in the case of failure to fulfill Warranty obligations under the law. Exactly what do you mean by "Sue" and what are the the other options you infer?

I know someone who got an answer in 'Ask the Lawyer; but when they wrote directly to Somsak Lawyers they failed to respond after 10 days. Answers on Thai Visa are of little use if Somsak are incapable of following up.

I am beginning to think that Ask the Lawyer and Somsak are are a waste of time.

i met him once i wasnt too impressed although to be fair he did give me an hour of his time and never asked for any money so????
