Russian fugitive arrested by Pattaya Immigration Police

PATTAYA: -- Immigration Police arrested a 34 year old Russian wanted on an International Arrest Warrant concerning a case of Welfare Fraud worth an estimated 100 Million Baht from 2014.

Police Colonel Prapansak, the Superintendent of Chonburi Immigration announced the arrest of Mr. Igor Batalov who is the subject of an International Arrest Warrant number 2014/65545-1 and is wanted by the Russian Authorities in connection with a case dating back to October 2014.

Mr. Batalov is accused of embezzlement of funds totaling the equivalent of 100 Million Baht in relation to Welfare Payments and was arrested at an apartment located at the Atlantis Condo Resort off Jomtien Second Road on Tuesday morning.

Love those group photos... like trophies you hang on your office wall and than compare them

with other officers over a cold beer to see who's got more......

and they are all in the parachute regiment except one. I wonder how many jumps they have to make to qualify for their wings?. I even seen young women at immigration with loads of medals and wings.

FYI .... Wings pin on police, army and immigration are varied with some being for actual jump training from planes, some for simple tower jump training and nothing to do with parachute regiment which are normally clothes badges.

Not been a good week for the Russians criminals in Pattaya, two different drug busts, one ATM scammer, now this and its only Wednesday

One could be facetious and say if TAT wants to know where the Russian tourists have gone , perhaps a check on the jails would help , but I wont.cheesy.gif
