Any way to top up a True Intersim out of Country.....?

Featured Replies

I had to abort a trip on day of Travel few weeks ago..........It only allows 90 days in advance on this Sim and runs out next week

Because of situation at home unlikely I'll get back in Country prior to start of May............Yes I can keep old contacts numbers but obviously they may lose mine

Thanks in advance....

Can I bump this one......

Bit surprised no one has come across the issue already

Take a look at this older ThaiVisa Thread (ignore TrueMove mentions as TrueMove-H is the current provider)

Extending The Validity Of Your Truemove Sim Card (start around post #26 and on)

Quote: True Move H sim just dial *934#.
Quote: It costs 3 baht +vat (taken from your credit balance) and extends the validity by 30 days at a time.
(might only work in-country or on systems allowing ussd codes while roaming)
Smartphone? Have you tried downloading the True App and topping up/extending validity with that?

Otherwise, give a local mate a call, give your mobile number, and ask to go to 7/11 or a mobile shop and EXTEND VALIDITY

I know multiple options for AIS, but I am not familiar with True.

At AIS you can extend validity for one month by just topping up 10 Baht (!) at one of the selfservice machines.

You can repeat this up to one year validity.

Selfservice machines:

every 7/11 has one outside next to the entrance, orange colored with a small touchscreen.

English available.

They charge 2 Baht fee for every topup.

It works ONLY at the selfservice machines, NOT at the counter or other channels.

AND you really have to do repeated topups of 10 Baht, not bigger amount at once.

Have a try whether it works with True also, cost you only 12 Baht.

Otherwise, give a local mate a call, give your mobile number, and ask to go to 7/11 or a mobile shop and EXTEND VALIDITY

Thats plan B. Topup works with just having the number. No need to have the phone/SIM at hand.
