Mae Sai Immigration Office Open April 6?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if the Mae Sai Immigration office is open Monday, April 6 (Chakri Day Holiday)??

All immigration offices will be closed. But the border crossings will be open.

All days shown in red here will be days that immigration will be closed. Public Holidays 2015

You do that at the border. You have leave the country enter Myanmar and return to use your 2nd entry.

Thanks.

So since I really don't need immigration, I can then just go on the weekend, yeah? I rather do that and take in some of the sites then, rather than rushing. My 1st entry actually expires April 6.

So to clarify, I can do "border run" (activate my 2nd entry on my Tourist Visa) on the weekend?

Border crossings are open 365 days a year. You can do your entry this weekend.

You can also get a 30 day extension of your 60 day entry at an immigration office for a fee of 1900 baht.

Yes, I know about that but planning to get an Ed visa end of May, so don't need the extension and don't want to pay extra 1900B.

Thanks so much!
