Thai Airways website not working

Featured Replies

When trying to search for flights & prices, the website just refuses to play ball.

On the home page, under “booking” I entered From & To (BKK to Katmandu), then two dates, and then following the prompt, clicked “Book now”

And it does, absolutely nothing. I've also tried “Plan my trip”, but still no luck.

This looks like a regular occurrence from what I can see: When googling “why is thai airways website...” it offers the auto-complete option “not working” and most of those results point to TV.

Maybe they've closed down and done a runner before they're closed down by the ICAO - saves loss of face!!!

No problem here, BKK to KTM. 9800 Baht oneway.

What browser do you use?

Does the browser have addons / script blockers / adblockers etc.pp.?

Do you have some kind of "internet security" SW or the like?

If the autocomplete (filling the airport names) does not work, then you should get at least an error message about "... city code is not correct" when hitting the BOOK NOW.

Try another browser.

---

Before hitting the BOOK NOW you must see an autocompleted form like this:

BKK to Katmandu

Maybe nitpicking, but "Katmandu" is a mispelling -> Kathmandu.

It works fine for me.

For the spelling, use the drop box and find Nepal

Good advice.

There is no need to rely on the autocomplete.

Just click the three-dot symbol right to the box and select the airport explicitely.

Thanks for all the replies.

Found the problem: I use Firefox with Ghostery tracking blocker. It had automatically blocked Webtrends, which it described as a 'beacon" When I allow that through, it works fine.

I had filled in all the options correctly, just that the "book now" link was doing nothing.

Still not decided whether to go to Katmandu or Kathmandu!

As there were so many results when googling about the website not working, I erroneously assumed it was a Thai airways problem.

Thanks again,

Site was down here in N.Z as well----when it came back up again the fares from N.Z to Bangkok had increased by $100nz sad.png

The thread title was kind of misleading.

Its just another case where some "protection"/"security" software on the PC causes more trouble than benefit.
