Ping Pong shows

Though I suspect the OP isn't posing a serious question, in the interest of community forum spirit, I'll respond nonetheless.

If you go looking for the show in question in Patpong, you're going to end up in a second floor bar with no show and a bill of 20,000 thb or more. If you don't pay, you'll be threatened with physical violence. If you don't have the amount of the "bill" presented, you'll be escorted to an ATM to withdraw it.

Call it a scam, call it a ripoff, call it extortion....just don't call it entertainment.

Been there done that with a Thai friend, escape with 600 baht after chugging down 2 beers and 10 minutes of show. Avoid at all costs. The tout at the entrance told us something like 200-300 baht per person with a beer. Thinking that a Thai speaking with another Thai they are less likely to rip us off, so off we went upstairs.

After a 1-2 minute performance, the ladies will ask for a tip, if you don't give a tip they will get pissed off. We didn't give any tip and said we will give you later until we can clearly see we were not welcomed anymore. Stood up to pay and the mamasan (manager lady) demanded 2000 baht, since Thai friend spoke Thai he argued down to 600, threw the money on the table and started walking out.

They could have locked us in the room if they wanted to, but perhaps there is a Thai person, they dare not mess with the wrong Thai person just in case. If you are a foreigner I'm sure the outcome will be very different. Read a lot of horror stories, glad we escaped with minimum damage. When we walked downstairs, another couple just got out and was warning everyone to not follow those touts and that they got ripped off.

If you want to see a show, believe it or not go to Pattaya its much safer.

Been there, done that. Nobody can really tell you which one is the best because these places have no names and are only accessible via the guys handing out flyers. My story:

It happened about 4-5 years ago, I was on a date with a half-thai girl, both of us spoke fluent Thai. We went to Patpong and approached one of the flyer boys. The initial price was 600thb, but after negotiating and showing my Thai ID card I got the "raka khon Thai" at 300thb per person. We were led into one of the numerous buildings and headed for the second floor. The room was dimly lit with loud music pounding my ears. Luckily the show had not begun yet as there weren't enough people, so the girls were just pole dancing. Immediately 2 ladies approached me and asked me to buy them some drinks, I replied in Thai that I was here with my girlfriend and just wanted to see the show. They were disappointed but left us alone after that. Since the 300thb included 1 free drink my date got a coke and I ordered a shot of Tequila. Meanwhile more people were gathering. I saw a fat rich old white guy with FIVE girls: 1 one his left lap, 1 on his right lap, 1 clinging on to his right arm, 1 clinging on to his left arm, and the final girl massaging his neck. He had also bought drinks for all 5 girls (talk about rich). Then I remember two Aussie tourists sitting down next to us. That's when the show started.

The first segment consisted of a striptease pole dance. Next the ladies used their vaginas to open soda bottles. Then came two girls with a string of razor blades. They demonstrated how sharp they were by cutting up some cardboard. After that they proceeded to insert the string into their vaginas. While another girl was holding up a sheet of paper the two ripped the string of razors out in a swinging motion, cutting the paper in two. The next segment featured the famous ping pong act, some of the audience were handed ping pong bats and the girls started shooting out ping pong balls. I had to laugh hard when a ball accidentally landed in my face and left a really wet mark. For the last act balloons were handed out to the audience and the girls did their best to fire darts out of their vaginas, popping the balloons.

After about 30min we called it a night and left without problems, having spent only 300thb. All in all a weird way to spend a date but, I admit I was entertained.

Your best bet at watching one of these shows without being ripped off is to have a companion with you who speaks fluent Thai. If it's a guy you can always pretend you're a gay couple solely interested in the show.

Went to one in the early 90's and had no problem. Show was ok shot some darts at balloons being held up, razor baldes being pulled out and smoking cigarettes. I think the shows at anglewhich in Nana are better. i never had any problem with having to pay a high fee. Cant recall what the bill was but don't recall it being outrageous.

i have heard allot of stories of guys being extorted so if i were i would just pass.

These are some of the best places in Thailand I recommend not to miss it.

Walking down Patpong and meet a very nice Thai guy who said we could see a ping pong show.. only 1000b each with 1 free drink.. bargain. I speak fluent English, Thai, Indian, Japanese, Chinese, German, and Farang. So I talked him down to 900b for each of us... there were 6.

As soon as we walked in all the girls must have noticed just how handsome we were as they ran over to talk to us.

There were no real other people in the place but it was amazing not sure but we must have found a well kept secret.

The show started with a women doing a striptease and putting her clothes inside her vagina.. then when she finished out popped a fully clothed midget named Pingpong who landed in a net across the room. Then in rapid fire she shot ping pong balls into each of our drinks.

Highly recommend going... just only go to the show that is 1000b its the best one. Its the first thai guy that asks you about seeing a ping pong show in Patpong. If he offers the 600b show tell him no..I want the 1000b one.
