After the International Civil Aviation Organization issued a significant safety concerns alert on Thailand. Many countries including Japan banned chartered flights immediately.

Given the importance of these flights between Thailand and Japan (especially during Songkran), Thai authorities signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to allow for more inspections and checks on flights destined to Japan. This arrangement will last for six weeks from April 11 to May 31, 2015 for six airlines.
