Featured Replies

I am waiting to hear how the CDC/NRC 2015 draft constitution was modeled after UK's constitutional monarchy's constitution.

(UK doesn't have a constitution)

    Arai wa? Sacre bleu!

We created article 17, copied article 16 then ended up with 44, and if it goes all tits up, lets blame the French cos we did copy them

How is article 44 modelled on the French article 16? They share no similarity at all. Article 44 gives absolute power to a person who brought himself to power with tanks and he has to consult nobody. Article 16 is based on a democratically elected President who has to consult with his PM, parliament and the constitutional council. And this clown is Prayuth's legal advisor?

So if it all goes pearshaped it will all the fault of foreigners, again !

Big loss of face though to admit having to get inspiration from another country.

yep it's not our fault, it's those bloody foggies that made us do it. I thought Prayuth was going to stamp out pirating.

But it's not piracy as it's not the same and since it was reviewed in 2008 the original doesn't exist anymore anyway. Say what you like about the French but you can't blame this on them. They're not that stupid.

The only good thing about this is we can all have a bit of a laugh at a Thai official trying to say something sensible.

The coup leaders have to be pretty thick skinned (less the skin)....
