A question regarding a visa problem... I need help ASAP

Featured Replies

Hello everybody.

I'm new at this forum and I really really need same help regarding thai visa.

I've been in Thailand for almost 2 years on single ent. tourist visa.So far I've been around 5 times in Penang, Malaysia and one time in Vientiane.

Last time that I did my thai visa was in Laos.

The problem is that at that time officers stamped a note in red lettering saying that "I've renewed my visa to many times and that next time I may be denied a new visa". But on the bottom of the visa there is a note in blue lettering saying that next time I need to show proof of income and proof of residence in Thailand.

Even thou I have both of those documents the visa run agency that I used the last time for my visa run to Laos said that because of those notes on my visa they cant do anything about it in Vientiane embassy.

Since I'm in a hurry (my visa will expire in next 5 days) I came here to ask for an advice.

What's the story with Savannakhet consulate? Somebody told my that the consulate there is easy going and that I will get my new tourist visa there regardless the notes on my visa.

Did anybody here face the same problem?

Any advice?

Thanks ahead.

You could try Savannakhet but I suggest you take your financial info and proof of residence with you,

Others have been able to get another visa in Vientiane with the requested proof.

You don't say what nationality you are & that carries a lot of weight on visa issuing .

Savannakhet should be fine for a single entry tourist with those remarks, Proof of finance, residency & even a cheap flight booking out of Thailand to match up with a new 60 day visa expiry may all help. Savannakhek will generally issue one more single even if it itself had stamped the remark on previous visa, nothing written in stone as rules & peoples mood changes daily but I have seen same & worse scenario walk away with new tourist visa without issue

Savannakhet is very easy commute process with sensible to incredibly cheap options & absolute no need for agents .

Thanks guys.

The passport is croatian. It is a member of EU. I'm just afraid of being stopped on the other side with all my stuff here.

Anybody else with the same experience?

I am sure you will get another tourist visa. If they didn't they would issue you a transit visa that would give you a 30 day entry,

Tourist visas are not intended to facilitate long term residence in Thailand .

Eventually , as you are beginning to discover, the visas will become increasingly difficult to obtain and you will be subject to increased scrutiny with questions being asked about what, exactly, you are doing in Thailand being asked.

Have you thought about obtaining a more appropriate visa ?

Just a question to be able to answer yours. Would anybody in Croatia being on a tourist visa would be allowed to work there and could just continue living and working there, on a tourist visa?

The Immigration gave you the stamp in your passport for some reasons, as they are aware that you've been here for quite a long time.

A tourist for almost two years, without showing any improvement in form of a Non Immigrant visa? I personally think it's just fair that they don't want more and more guys working here without the right visa and without a work permit. .

Considering that you're not applying for a Non Immigrant, might be the reason why all warning lights go off.

On a forum, where you can't even write about a not genuine computer program, discussing not really legal visa issues seems to be a double sided sword to me.

What's the difference between bypassing Thai laws to enable somebody to continue his stay in Thailand, without knowing what the person really does and telling somebody on the internet forum that there're more free programs available?

Does anybody really know what the OP's doing in this country?

Not trying to make any assumptions, but some illegal activities might be involved. wai2.gif

If Vientane is the easier location for you and you want to continue to apply there, you should get a new passport.
