When I hit "Pay now" on Shopee, I get a QR code. This old Luddite doesn't do QR codes--my mobile is not connected to the Internet.

There is a drop-down menu which includes my choices: Cash on delivery or Credit cards. Clicking on them doesn't work.

Anybody else have this problem?

(God, I hate QR codes. Queuing behind some idiot who does have card or cash!)

Find the same item from another seller. they might have the COD or Credit Card options not shaded out. COD has gone from some sellers lately. It's what I usually use.

If you mean you are accessing Shopee on a PC connected to internet because your mobile is not connected to the internet, use a QR code reader on the PC.

Paying using the QR is probably (maybe?) the safest since shopee doesn’t link it to your bank. Though it’s easy to do, just save the qr image then open the bank app and then open the image after selecting the qr option. Easy.

That's not the issue. I don't want my phone connecting to the Internet! What for? It's just a tin can with no string. Why do I have to oblige Shopee?

Nah, it's everything on Shopee.

From these answers, I guess everybody only gets QR codes. Damn!

No way I am going to order anything from Lazada or Shopee if COD is not available anymore.

I just ordered popcorn yesterday there. Last few orders were blank cd's, sauerkraut, peanut butter, and others, all COD. many have been taken off COD availability, so you have to look for other sellers.

Use Lazada a lot, if it's not on COD I don't order, and always photo or video the items being opened, never had a problem.

You have to watch out for the lowest price of an item not being what is delivered in the description, i.e. picture shows a trolley jack and axle stands for say 550bht, but the 550bht is just for the axle stands, to get the Jack as well the price goes up a 1000bkt.

And you won't if you don't qualify your original post with what operating system you are using on your PC? If you are using a Win11 PC its built into the screen capture tool.

I just tried something I had in my shopping cart and it allowed me to select COD no problem.

I get a kick out of people who refuse to modernize, then complain because their old, outdated methods no longer work. Great to take a stand, but foolish to then bitch about it!
I can appreciate not wanting to connect to the Internet. Plenty of valid reasons not to for some folks. In the same manner that some prefer to live in a shack, 20 miles from the nearest town, 5 miles from their nearest neighbor. But they don't complain that they can't get a pizza delivered.

QR codes are the easiest thing in the world to use. They are also one of the safest ways to pay.

However, I will point out your contradiction of your attempt at making payment. Please explain how you get a QR code when hitting pay, if your phone is not connected to the internet?!

I also take great exception to being referred to as an 'idiot', if I use a card or cash?!

I would suggest you sleep off the drink, before posting. Or put the brain in gear before engaging the mouth.

The other day the default payment option changed on Shopee for no apparent reason. I had to find my default payment options and change what was there, somehow it had changed to COD, i changed it back, do the same

I buy regularly from Shopee. Now I use QR, but before I used Thai debit card.

On PC — which I also use for online shopping — I get a selection of payment methods when checking out — I placed a sample order right now to take screen shot...

Some sellers might not accept COD — it will normally be mention that COD is accepted on the page where you but the product — I can easily change to card by on the button...

My stored Thai debit card is however expired, as I now use the more convenient Prompt Pay with QR-code. In your Shopee Profile, you can store your cards for payment...

Ah, I thought it was just Shopee vs The Internet. 2015 MacBook Pro, Ventura 12.7.8 (latest this Intel Mac will go). Tried Safari, Chrome, Brave.

Have now downloaded QR Code Scanner.

Okay, okay. Uncle! My eyes are really going. Can't read on my Mac if less that 24ppi. I have no need of Google, Maps or other fripperies when I'm outside and, besides, I can't even read SMS without a magnifying glass. It's a phone! Anybody who likes that crap on a screen a size of a postage stamp, be my guest.

When I got my first Mac (1984), I hated that it wouldn't think the way I do. Goddamn thing wanted me to think the way it did! I have adapted myself.

But adapting yourself for commerce goes too far. It's my money I'm spending at Shopee so, even if I'm one of a thousand, Shopee should make damned sure I get to spend it!

Sorry if you were the guy in line who held me up at Makro the other day because neither shopper nor cashier could make the QR code work! That was the idiot. Why would he not use card or cash???

I use a computer, the one that's not in my pocket. That one is an IPhone 5.

And I don't drink!

All looks different on a Mac but it gives me a sliver of hope. Thx.

No more COD on Shopee or Lazada or Grab ? Ok fine,...but then no more order either. Out of the question to put in my bank card details online in Thailand.

You don't need to if you pay by QR code, get up to date. Google pay may be available also, no risk
