VOA Vientiane during Songkran

Anybody know if the Laos Visa on arrival office will still be open on the Vientiane border during Songkran i.e the 15th.

They are open 365 days a year. They do not close for any holiday.

Yep, always open. Be careful about crossing too late though, the other day I gave a couple of guys a lift from the border into NongKhai at 9:00pm. Thai officials wouldn't let them cross because the Visa on arrival on the Lao side was closed. The border is open from 6am to 10pm but the Visa on arrival on the Lao side is not open until 10pm. Not sure what time they close.

Vientiane will be closed on the 13th and 14th for Songkran. Open on the 15th and closed on the 16th for Lao new years and then open again on the 17th.
