Does She Need A Sponsor

Featured Replies

my girlfriend is applying for a uk visa and we are wondering does she need a sponsor. i am english but have lived in thailand with her for the last four years, we have a child together. she was accepted three years ago, so has been before, my main question is does she need a sponsor, she has over one and a half million baht in her account and also has 39 rai of land to her name.

There's no harm in her stating that she'll be paying for the cost of the trip and then substantiating the claim with evidence of her disposable funds.

Scouse.

If she is fully funding the trip herself, and can produce satisfactory evidence of this, then she will not need a financial sponsor.

But, where will she be staying?

If in a hotel, then a provisional booking confirmation would be helpful.

If she will be staying with friends or relatives, then a letter from them inviting her to stay, with a brief description of the number and type of rooms to show that there is room for her. If they rent then a landlords letter to confirm this and that there are no objections to her staying there. If they own then some proof of this, e.g. a mortgage statement or a copy of the deeds.
