Has anyone had their hair chemically straightened? A friend of mine in Phuket just had it done & it looks fantastic - really healthy & shiny, & the best bit is that it stays that way even after being rained on! Wondered if anyone had found a salon in Bangkok that does the process well.

Art Hair (100meters walk from Siam BTS station) in Siam is a good place to go. They even give you discounts. I suggest you blow dry your hair the first time you visit inorder to get the 50-60% discount card. After that, you're ready to straighten your hair. (Sometimes, they call it rebonding, and other times it's called straigtening....) They will charge you 1000-1500 baht, so the discount card help!

I have friends who did it, and I did it as well. I was told that it will stay for 6 months to a year!
