DanBlack
Does anyone know a good car mechanic around Chalong area. I had a good one across from Wat Chalong, but he has packed up and moved away. I took my car there at least 20 times, and he only ripped me off once
fiddlehead
Almost right across the road from him (and up towards the lights at the school) is a Swiss guy who is good. He's next to that plumbing shop. Good luck.

You'll need the good luck -- took one of my bikes to the Swiss guy once...they didn't properly finish the job (not overly complex) and the bike came back missing some pieces -- and then they had the nerve to say it was my fault and got all huffy with me; would never go there again. LivinginKata
I use the garage just past Fisherman's way (Makro) on the opposite side of the road. I've recommended before with mixed reviews, but he has been looking after my car and wife's car for the last 3 years and I have no complaints. steelepulse
If you wanted to go a bit further down in Rawai, PS garage is good and fair. It's in the soi next to the 7/11 across from the Chinese bus station ( speed boat tours). If you search the Phuket forum you'll see they've had a few recommendations in the past.
