Flash Player with Firefox(crashing)

Featured Replies

I have Adobe Flash Player installed in Windows 8.1.

I have Shockwave Flash plugin in Firefox which I can't delete.

Firefox keeps crashing and giving the message "Shockwave Flash"plugin is busy.

Does anybody know how I can fix this.

Thanks in advance.

I had problems with Flash after having installed the latest version (17.0.0.169). The problem seems to have gone away for the time being although I'm unsure why.

Have a read of this :-

There maybe other posts here that are related..

Also, the latest beta version of Flash, contains the following in the 'Change Log' :-

Improvements included in Flash Player Beta and Firefox Nightly builds resolve a large number of intermittent hangs on Windows

I've yet to go down that route.

There are some videos on uTube about this but they

sound fairly serious.

What I want to understand before I go and make the changes they sugest is why I have a shockwave flash plugin in Firefox

and not just Flash plugin and why I can't delete it.
