SailingHome
Got wind there may have been a policy change? In the past I would border run on the exact day of 'enter before' on 2-entry tourist visa, activate the 2nd entry, and had no problems. That date is Sunday and today is Friday. Do I need to rush tomorrow and get back in (IE BEFORE the enter before date) or can I still be leisurely and go on Sunday, the actual 'enter before' date? Cheers! nzexpat
Best take note of the "rumours" and do it today or tomorrow, Getting caught in a "policy change" could be nasty !
Mario2008
You can still do it on Sunday, but I always advise it do it a day early. (people get sick, cars break down, roads get blocked, etc. etc.)
KhunBENQ
It is OK on the ENTER BEFORE date. A "not so lucky" wording, which leads to confusion again and again. Many posts/threads on that. Compare with visa stickers of other countries and you will find clearer words. Or whats your opinion?: Singapore: VALID TILL Laos: UNTIL Cambodia: EXPIRY DATE Vietnam: UNTIL USA: Expiration Date UK: UNTIL Edited May 1, 2015 by KhunBENQ
notmyself
According to the rules in the immigration handbook, the date is the expiry date so you need to enter before midnight. You need to enter before the end of the date. Most officers use those rules but some do not and instead go by what is written on the visa. Go the day before because otherwise you will lose an entry, get 15 or 30 days and have to again leave to get a new visa. Not worth the risk. IMA_FARANG
"enter before" means by midnight that day. But only a fool would push it to the limit and not consider the possibility of problems making it to late.
