Hi,

Any other note 4 users out there actually managed to upgrade their phones to Android 5 Lollipop?

I get the OTA download prompt but it continuously fails

Kies fails at 69% also.

Anybody got it working?

Upgraded mine OTA without problem.

If you can't get it to install, I'd first do a factory reset.

Thanks Chicog,

Is the factory reset based on experience? I know I read it online..

But I tried the factory reset (from menu interface) - still no luck..

20 times Ive tried now.

My missus 3 month old Samsung Grand asked to do an update (not sure if lollipop or not) 2 weeks ago.

Made sure it was charged and then let it do its thing.

Phone was then bricked, took it to Samsung and asked them to sort it and they qouted me Bt.3000..... I was like hang on a second, it is under warranty why are you qouting me a price..... they replied no warranty for bricked phone. .

I just bought Zenfone 2's for me and the missus, my S4 can go in the bin along with the Grand and Samsung can go screw themselves.... .

You should have put your foot down.

If it was bricked by a standard update, you should be covered, and it's a piece of the proverbial for them to reflash it.

Maybe write to someone high up in Samsung and complain about it.

They had assumed you had tried to tamper with the phone by unofficial means.

Agreed, you should have put your foot down...
