Tulip butter.

Featured Replies

I have tried a lot of local butter and its not bad but someone told me about a brand of butter that he thinlks is imported called Tulip Butter. Anyone know of this butter and where I can find it to buy or try?

Have you tried Googling it as a question?

Try Googling 'What's Tulip Butter' and see if the results help.

I think your informant got confused. He probably meant Orchid Butter. There are 2 varieties. One is called Orchid Classic. Don't buy that one. It's rancid. Literally.

I tried that orchid stuff . To my knowledge I'd never before eaten recycled engine grease.

After trying them all I now only buy NZ Anchor unsalted for B99, never heard of Tulip

None of the Thai butters is actually butter. It's a chemical emulsion of imported butter oil. And, just for clarification, despite the kangaroo on the packaging, Allowrie is not Australian - it's another Thai butter. Personally I buy Emborg or Anchor according to my mood.

+ 1 for Anchor butter.

Both the Emborg and Anchor are good quality, reasonably (by Thai standards) priced, imported butter. The Emborg pack is slightly smaller than Anchor but close in price at Makro, around B95.

Try Lurpak butter. You can get it at the bigger Tesco stores and I think I've seen it in Makro
