Kartika
I wouldn't go to Ashtar. Looks a bit strange to me. Spa Samui in Lamai http://www.spasamui.com is very well established and reputable for this sort of thing. Another good one is Dharma Healing (Hillary Hitt) in a quieter setting http://www.dharmahealingintl.com. I have heard positive reports on both places. If you want a more luxurious setting, Kamalaya also has detoxing: http://www.kamalaya.com/koh-samui-spa-thailand.htm Also have negative comments on: New Body and Mind Edited September 11, 2006 by Kartika

Kartika
Strange in what way, can you be more specific? The other places were full & I've already booked there.... Um... dunno, just something about the presentation and parts of the write up makes me think it looks like a cult or something on the flaky end of the scale. Seeing phrases like "Neural Organization Technique" and "HeartMath" doesn't give me a positive impression. I might be wrong - that's just my gut reaction. Their detox program loks fine as far as the writeup goes. Please let us know how it goes... Would be interested to hear about your experience there. Also, you might call up the other places I mentioned and just ask their opinion about Ashtar, if you're at all concerned about it. Detoxing is a rather intense experience, and you'll benefit more if you're comfortable while going thru it. I've worked in places like this before and if the facilitators are out in left field it has a negative effect on the guest.
