Featured Replies

Hi got tomtom go mobile app and paid year subscription.

All fine but supposed to get traffic info.

There is no traffic info whatsoever.

Im in Pattaya.

Thailand traffic is supported.

Anyone uses it? Any feedback.

On what device do you have this TomTom Go Mobile? Do you have an Internet connection on this device?

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

I use the TomTom Go 1.5 Android app, it doesn't seem to show live traffic like can be seen on a web browser at http://livetraffic.tomtom.com/. Not sure why the two cannot be integrated into one app?

I just know traffic is not supported in thailand

Odd that Thai traffic is supported on their web site, but not on the app.

they need to sign a deal with mobile provider

for now no traffic

Perhaps Thailand has no provider to broadcast signals about traffic jams.

So how do they get the traffic data on their web site http://livetraffic.tomtom.com/? Does this not need a provider? If I use a web browser on my device I can see traffic from http://livetraffic.tomtom.com/ so why cannot the TomTom Go app see it? Both web browser and TomTom Go are just apps on my device - one with traffic one without?

I searched on the website of TomTom and could find no information about where they get their traffic information, but I came across this page suggesting that "Live Services" is an add-on that must be purchased separately: http://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/drive/maps-services/live-services/

With thier new phone app traffic is included if u buy app.

But they didn't struck deal yet in thailand with mobile providers.

been driving around pattaya - bkk

I found tomtom terrible

i had to go to Bank Of Thailand, when you search that in tomtom, nothing comes up, then i wanted to go Asiatique, and nothing comes up. Switched to google maps, and both locations no problem, and on top of that u get traffic wchich is pretty accurate!
