May 18, 201511 yr hello i'm french citizen, now in thailand and need to apply new visa soon. Can you tell me if i can have double visa entry tourism in Thai embassy in Laos ? where is better to go vientiane or savannakhet ? Also, someone know if they ask to show them booking of ticket flight (in and out thailand) and attestation of bank with minimum on account ? Thanks so much for information !
May 18, 201511 yr Both are the same for getting 2 entry tourist visas. Vientiane is a little easier to get to than Savannakhet for some people. Savannakhet is less busy than Vientiane. They do not ask for tickets out nor financial proof.
May 18, 201511 yr You need to travel to Nong Khai for Vientiane. You can do it by bus or train. You can also fly to Udon Thani and get a van to the bridge in Nong Khai. Savannakhet a bus to Mukdahan and then a bus across the bridge. Nok Air and Air Asia offer a fly/ride service to Mukdahan via Nakhon Phanom. I will go by flght to laos. do i have to stay minimum of days out of thailande before go in the country with the double entry tourism visa ? or i can just stay in laos 2 or 3 days to get the visa and come back thailande ? i see on other forum, can have 180 days of tourism visa per year maximum in thailande ; is it true ? because i already have 30 days exemption visa last february of this year. Its means i will have : 30 days (february) + 60 days (may /june) + tourism visa double entry (120 days) = total 210 days for this year thank u for reply me

There is no requirement to stay out of the country for any amount of time. There is no 180 day limit on staying. That is pure rubbish info.

May 19, 201511 yr I'm coming to the end of my 30 day extension visa wots the cheapest way to get 30 or 60 more days.do I fly or drive I'm in Bangkok any suggestions please A border run will only get you 15 days unless you are from a G7 country that would allow 30 days. But can get the 30 day extension for either one. A trip to Vientiane would get you a 60 day tourist visa. Have a look at this companies website that does visa runs http://www.thaivisaservice.com.

May 20, 201511 yr I was in Savannakhet last week and getting a 2 entry tourist visa was super easy. did you go alone and do visa by yourself in thai embassy or you go with company for visa run ? I went alone. Because of my nationality I can't get Laos visa on the border. So first I went to Khon Kaen to get a Laos visa. Then I went to Mukdahan by bus and then continued to Savannakhet with special border bus. I stayed at Leena guesthouse. Because this is probably the most popular guesthouse, many visa runners stay here. Usually shared songthaews come here in the morning and take people to the consulate. Although, I rented a bicycle and went by myself, it was cheaper. Consulate is about 2 km from guesthouse. Around the consulate, there are loads of places that can help you with the forms, pictures & photocopies. You apply for the visa until 11.00 am, and then collect it the next day at about 14.00 pm. I haven't been to Vientaine embassy, but from what I heard Savannakhet consulate is much more relaxed and problem free.

June 27, 201511 yr Which is the cheapest airport to fly in & out of outside of Thailand if you want to activate the 2nd part of a double entry tourist visa? Anyone done this & roughly how much did you pay?
June 27, 201511 yr Which is the cheapest airport to fly in & out of outside of Thailand if you want to activate the 2nd part of a double entry tourist visa? Anyone done this & roughly how much did you pay? Kuala Lumpur would be the best option because no visa is required and the flights are normally not expensive if you buy the tickets in advance. Check Air Asia for flight costs. http://www.airasia.com/ot/en/home.page
