A quick question. Am on an ED visa studying at university and would like to know if anyone thinks it poses a risk leaving the country for the UK for a week WITH a re-entry permit to re-enter Thailand with just another couple of weeks remaining on the extension? My plan is to extend once back in the kingdom with the relevant paperwork supplied by the university.

If you return prior to the re-entry permit and the extension expiring then you will be allowed entry up to your permitted to stay date .

You must judge if that will permit enough time to secure a new extension of stay .......................

The question, therefore, is whether your university will be able to give you the necessary paperwork within two weeks from the day you are back in Thailand. I don't know the answer to that.
