OK I was on visa runs.....

3 in that passport and the old passport full of it.

Have a Thai wife

I am 49 % shareholder of a company at 3 mill baht registered money

I am 35

Austrian nationality

Reading at: http://www.thaivisa.com/422.0.html

that I would get this 1+3month visa, just need to go over the boarder (like visarun) every 3 month.

Now where to get that visa, at home in Vienna, or KL?

What to tell them? What dox?

Where do I have the better chances to get it (Austria, KL, somewhere else?)?

Need to know anyone or to chat with them or is just a straight forward thing and how long does it usually need?

Can I do that every year again?

- You can get the visa in KL or Penang.

- You will need your company registration and a letter from your company stating they want to employ you. Your major shareholder or any employee signs the letter and includes your company seal. Your passport and 2 passport photos.

- You only get a 3 months non immigrant B visa. You can exchange it for a 1 year visa at the local immigration office the day before it expires, if you can show evidence you've paid your tax. First time they extend your visa it will be 30 days, also second and third time. After 3 or 4 times renewal with 30 days they will renew with 6 or 12 months. So no need to leave the country ever! But tho get a 1 year visa you also need to employ 4 Thai nationals in your company (it can be done only in the papers, but you'll need to pay their social security!) Also you need to pay yourself minimum 50,000 Baht per month of which you will have to pay personal income tax, appx. 3,500 Baht/month.

Good luck! :o

If you can meet the requirements a support Thai wife extension of stay from immigration would appear to be you best option - but you need a visa to start that.

At present KL and Singapore seem more likely to issue a multi entry non immigrant O visa and normal requirements are marriage certificate, copy of wife ID card, perhaps copy of her home register and letter from her that you live together and perhaps your bank passbook. Recently the requirements list has increased and perhaps not all will be required. The old requirement was always the marriage certificate and then came copy of ID card.

Requirements in your home country are usually less.

I had my Type O non immigrant only for 3 month(single entry) from Penang although i applied for multiple entry.

I got the Multiple Entry Type O from Royal Thai Consulate in Salzburg. No headaches there.

Since 3 month i am on Visa extension ...which i found even better as i don't need to do the Borderrun only 90 day reporting either in Person or by Mail .

I'd suggest to make a single entry Type O (or maybe you're lucky and multiple entry) and than get the extension to it.

On the other hand if your current Visa is still about 1 month valid you might want to go right away for the extension ...no need to go anywhere jut Immigration...

Good luck,

rcm :o

thanks everyone.

My OP was a bit unclear. The link shows a 1 year+3 month visa.

I am not sure if I want to employ myself.....

After investing arround 4 Mill I don't have 400.000 to show.

The link is showing a 1 year visa, if you make the timing right it is 15 month

Thanks

Edit: Or did I get the whole story wrong and it is a 3 month visa valid 1 year and I can use that 3 month again and again......

Sounds strange.....

at the moment I am on this tourist thing which is not a visa....

Salzburg would be possible, is it better than Vienna? I was years ago in Vienna and you could not say that they are in any way friendly or helpfull.....

A multi entry non immigrant O visa is valid for one year from date of issue and you are allowed to enter and remain in Thailand for 90 days max at any one entry. It can be used to do this until the expiration date and if you enter the day before expiration (and had immediately used visa after issue) it would cover almost 15 months as even last entry will allow you to remain for 90 days.

got the point now....

It is the luxury version of the visa run.......

just every three month.....

so the point is to get the multi instead of the single......

Does KL usually give the multi? Or shall I try at home? Or is it just luck or is that what I can't write else the topic get closed???

Or are they more friendly if you have thai wife?

You are not likely to get without a Thai wife unless you have a work permit or are retired. So yes the wife helps.

Home country is normally the best choice if you have that option. At present KL and Singapore are suggested as more friendly to the multi entry than others but much depends on the local officials and as they change requirements often change.

From my understanding a NON-"O" will unlikely be issued unless you apply from your OWN country at the consulate or embassy.

A Non-O can be issued on the grounds of Visiting Family / Friends or extended stay with reason given.

I do not think KL will issue you a multiple Non-O.

Or if I have wife and want to get work permit so company writing the letter for me, but when I have that visa I never apply for the work permit (for example the company changes their mind).

Are their realistic chances?? (no workpermit at the moment and to young to retire).

Do not believe there is any chance of a multi entry non immigrant B visa without a work permit in any local Consulate.

thats bad.....

I heared from a few guys that they got it, most are married, but a few people just got it without any problems.

We had:- my PP, wifeys passport (copy), wifeys ID, wife herself (she did some talking, who knows what about). We had her house book but it wasn't asked for, no financial requirments.

I normaly got worse things when my wife comes with me (she is from NakhonSiThammarat, in the south). And I had a few times that an Isaan office did not like that....
