Two separate bad looking accidents 100 metres apart

Featured Replies

Driving down the speedway known as Vichit Road in Rawai, I came across two bad looking accidents that had to have occurred at almost the same time. One was almost in front of the big supercheap while the second one was in front of the Wednesday/Sunday market. This was at about 9:45. In both instances the motorbike looked pretty mangled while cops attended one accident while the local municipality looked to be tending the other. That stretch of road got a lot more deadly once that supercheap went it.

Yes, really dangerous.

There was another accident this morning on Viset opposite the gas station direction Rawai. Saw a motorbike on the road and a victim on the road, not moving at all, also looked very bad. That was around 09.10.

Nowadays I rarely go further than my area on my Scooter, take the car instead it's safer, but still very cautious about driving here, even after five years.....

Sad as I used to love nice cars and driving, now it's a thought....

I saw the aftermath of that one this morning. Marks on the road looked like the bike went about 25m on its side.

Supercheap & many other businesses (Promphan included) just do not seem to be civic minded at all when it comes to road safety outside their shops. Police seem to have a similar attitude by allowing bikes & cars to park outside the shops protruding onto the driving lane. At least he big SC on Visit has offstreet parking.

Yes, I saw that one at the same time. I wonder if I was following you... huh.png

I saw the ambulance going up Chao Fah East soon after.

The Supercheap just south of Hayek Chalong now has a car park. I used it once - very handy.

The one opposite Sai Yuan Soi 1 on the hill down into Rawai is a major accident spot. Parking in the bike lane, cars shooting out of Sai Yuan 1 going across the road and stopping quickly looking for a parking place... I often hear ambulances at night. I wonder how many are for accidents right there?
