I have a USA passport (big size- 48 pages) which is almost full. I should get a new one soon. can I do this at the embassy in Bangkok? If so, what kind of problems can I encounter over there? How much is it? Do I have to show proof of anything? Will they ask me many questions like; why have you done so many border runs, what is your income, etc.

But...If you can't add pages then it seems you can apply for a new one at the Us Embassy in BKK anyway.
