Condo Database (for Owners And Renters)

Featured Replies

Anyone interested in opening a condo database to provide useful information to condo owners and renters? Information such as:

Owners

- How much you purchased your condo for

- When you purchased your condo

- The size of your condo

- The general location of your condo

- How much rent you receive per month

- How much your building charges are per month per square meter

- What you include with your condo when renting it out

- How much you pay an agent to manage your property

- What that agent does for you

- How long it takes to rent out your room for new tenants

- Problems you have had with tenants

- The current sale prices of similar units in your building

Renters

- How much your rent is

- The size of your condo

- The general location of your condo

- What came with your room when you rented it

- The terms and legnth of your contract

- Problems you have had with owners

If enough people contribute to this thread then this might serve as a good resource for both condo owners and renters. I have found it difficult to get reliable information about much of the information above. Really not looking for a lot of discussion on this thread, just a lot of figures and facts that will be useful for people. Sure you can look at the classifieds and internet property sites for this information but there is never any feedback from the actual owners or renters. So, if you post keep it honest and relevant.

I think it's a good idea. Better still would be to add info on financing (for those who need it). The present situation is pretty limited - Bangkok Bank (Singapore) and Hamptons, (which has its own twists - someone told me they actually buy the property then lease it back to you - so they hold the freehold - rather than place a lien like conventional mortgagers).
