I am currently on my second yearly Non B visa, I do not have a work permit as I am not working yet. My question is simple can I convert it to a marraige visa in Chiang Mai as I am now married and it makes more sense for me to have this as I will not have to do the 3 monthly visa runs and can extend it with 400000baht in the bank.

If this is not possible can someone answer this next question?

I do not have a work permit as I am not working yet I have been looking for businesses to buy. When I do my visa run every 3 months after October 1st, is that ok if I do not have a work permit?

Any replies will be appreciated.

You have a non immigrant visa so you should be able to extend your stay for support Thai wife with no further change required. Take yourself/wife to immigration with the support Thai wife documentation and I am sure they can help you.

The current 90 days limit appears to only concern non visa entries.
