District Officers conduct drugs raid at East Pattaya Village



PATTAYA: -- Late on Wednesday Night a group of over 30 District Officers, led by the Chief Bailiff, conducted a raid on a village in East Pattaya in search of those involved in the use or sale of illegal drugs.

Officers also received a report of gangs of youths meeting at the village and, on occasion, they would expel firearms into the air.

Officers raided the Jalernsuk Pattana Village off Soi Siam Country Club and initially found a gang of 10 youths they wished to speak with, however they all ran away and could not be caught by officers.

Officers then made their way to a house owned by Khun Yusup aged 36 who was caught with 800 Kratom Leaves, which is a class 5 drug in Thailand, and a quantity of the class 5 drug Marijuana, along with drug taking paraphernalia.

Thirty cops chasing ten youths, and not one of them was fingered.

The raid was obviously planned in typical BIB fashion - rock up without a clue and see what happens.

I guess the high number of alcoholics are a far bigger problem then this youths.

Drug raids are just pathetic and raids for plants are even more pathetic. We need to end the Drug War now!

It took at least 8 of them to catch a soap penis vendor who was just sitting there, so what do you expect?

Sometimes we just have to lower our expectations.
