kbroodco
Hello, I have a question. I made a mistake with my VISA (tourist visa two months). I needed to extend my VISA in Chiang Mai Immigration office on 27th of May and I completely forgot about it. I just rembered it and it really scares me. My flight home is on Thursday 4th of June. Back home I will apply for a working VISA, so I cannot afford to get any (more) trouble. What is the best thing to do right now? Thanks for your advice. ubonjoe
No matter what you do you will still have an overstay and will be fined 500 baht a day on departure from the country. Just be sure you have 4000 baht with you when you leave. If you went to immigration tomorrow you could apply for an extension and pay the overstay fine. But it would only be one day less than just leaving on the 4th and it would be 1900 baht for the extension.
nzexpat
As above In addition there is no "working visa" which can be applied for. Best check on exactly what you are seeking but be aware there is NO "VISA" which will allow you to work legally.
