Instructions at the Immigration Office for Filing for 90 day report on line

Featured Replies

When I got my stamp yesterday and our transaction was complete, I asked if I could file on line at the Samut Prakan office. The man very nicely said yes and handed me his desk copy of a book. It was about 3'4" thick. He flipped through to the middle and showed me the second half of the book that contained all the instructions. I thumbed through it. There where pages with "Screen Shots" and about 3/8" of pages on what do do.

The small office was filling up fast. I actually would have spent more time looking through it. I was the first in line but it was getting very crowed very quickly. I just told him thanks a lot and I would check on the internet.

What was that website?

Curiously some English guy was getting into a heated argument about his "visa." The weird thing is a similar incident occurred last time I was at this office downstairs with another "Brit". The immigration lady remained very calm and repeated several times to him what he had to do. It was something that he needed to be done at his embassy that could not be done there.

The guy was furious and yelling at the top of his lungs and slamming his hands with the papers on the counter. I wanted to "cold cock" this guy Jersey style. I really don't think anyone would have minded.

Anyway 2 nice police officers showed up from nowhere and escorted the idiot outside.

Good entertainment to watch a hung over Brit with a dirty wife beater teeshirt on acting like a typical hung over burn out victim. The entertainment factor only lasted a few moments though before it became very annoying. I think better that he would have just got hit in the face with a chair.

I'm sure the "boys in brown" gave him a little reality check...

    Wife beaters aren't T-shirts.

  • Where I was raised in Jersey they were called Athletic Teeshirts. Some called them sleeve less Teeshirts. Never heard them described as "wife beaters" until about 10 years ago. Thanks for the valuab

You do not really need the instructions. They are easy to do once you get started.

Guess I'll try it on my Lenovo. On a MacBook Air, my main computer.

You can do it on Safari. There is info in the main topic about 90 day reporting here on the forum. Online 90 day reporting available from April 1st

I live in Chiang Mai, when i tried to fill in the form, it keeps refering me to contact the Immigration office. Is 90day reporting online not available yet in Chiang Mai?

The first part of the form is easy enough to understand, where it asks the flight number I arrived on in 2007, i obviously couldn't fill that in, besides it didn't have a red asterisk next to it. But as soon as I try to submit the form it refers me to the Imm Dept...am I doing something wrong?

Help would be appreciatedsmile.pngwai2.gif

Doubt you are doing anything "wrong" but the system clearly has a problem identifying your record.

Best make inquiry of the immigration dept. in CM.

You are doing nothing wrong, just have the same problem as many other people including me. The rpoblem seesm to be with the immigration database.

Thanks for the prompt reply nzexpat...I tried filling the form in again, but no luck...before i contact them, a quick question, my actual report date is the 20th June, is it perhaps like the Online queue for the retirement visa, where you cant apply early, iow, should i leave it to a bit later?

Thanks Mario, it would be soooo nice for me not to have to go down there for 90 day reporting..it takes me quite a while to get there from Seraphi lol

You can do it 15 days early, so you are a bit early. Try it again on Monday.

Cheers mate...will do :)

Yep - I even got my 'Pending' acknowledgement, but it never got confirmed so I still ended up at Immigration.

I agree: it appears to be that their database verification system can't cope with either not entering a flight number or the flight numbers since you re-entered Thailand more recently - as in my case. Just guessing!

Do it by mail especially if they move much easier and less stressful especially if your driving some distance.

Are you sure the book was that thick? 101 cm? Over one metre?

Perhaps you meant 3/4", ie 1.9 cm

If you haven't seen them yet details are below for CM and 90 day both via mail and online experiences. There are reports of CM members successfully completing online including obtaining the receipt. More though are experiencing what you have seen, myself included. But as mentioned, need to try when you are within the 15-7 day window before expiration of the current report. I've switched over to mail in a while ago and it has been working fine so probably a good option for you until success with online.

You have the same problem as I do. Your entry date is to old. My immigration office told me that my date in 2008 is to old and my records are not in the database the system accesses.. They told me to do a border hop if I want to do online 90 day reports.

Thanks Joe. I'm good for now but really want to get this "dialed in" for future reporting...

Lager lout with Changover, British stereotype.

Jimi's drummer Mitch Mitchell was English.

On topic, good to see the growing importance of online reporting to so many people.

3/4 inches is 1.9 cm????? Not when I went to school!!!...... 3 inches is 7.6cm and 4 inches is 10 cm plus.

They must have had "special" schools in "Scouseland" because elsewhere 3/4 inch = 1.905cm ! smile.png

Three quarters of an inch seems to be what joeyg was talking about. Schoolbooks probably have it printed as ¾". Not easy to do that on a computer keyboard.

Now, what was this topic about? The guidelines for online 90-day notification, I seem to remember.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

3/4 " Doesn't seem all that difficult. What am I doing wrong ??

Just a lot nonsense over a obvious typo. He put a ' instead of / when he wrote 3/4"..
