I am pondering and of cos running around - and in some kinda stressful worry about the recent visa changes .

i did plan for years to start a bussiness . and i gues sthis is the time to do it .

Just one idea..

The new Visa Rule - WHo GAIN the most .

By cutting VISA run . there would be less Border Crossing - between . alot of places .

Place like Mae sai would be not as crowded -

and also Burma would not have the 250-500 baht income .

Instead the income would be from Penang or oversea Embassy for thailand .

Which is paid for the tourist Visa . -

i am totally ok with the payment .

i ponder if there would start some kinda New VISA - to help people of age 21-49 -

and the intention is not to start a bussiness and not as rich as the gov think ..

i been in thailand for almost 5 years . i did travel to a few other country but i love this country so much that i am alway back .

recently i had move my whole family over and now my father and mother is on "O" VIsa..

but due to the change of rule - me and my younger brother which is 27 and me 29 , can't seem to fall in any range of the VISA .

as worry as stressful i am - i do agree with the new rule - is going to make thailand better in some way . but like all RULE and changes it must be FINE TUNED - and i hope time will fine tune this RULE to best serve Thailand and it People as well as people who love thailand .

Can't quite figure wether your post is just yet another rant about Thailand's visa rules or you have a personal problem you'd like advice on. If the latter is the case, there'll be a couple of peieces of info needed to help you. Most prominently, what do you (and your brother) do for a living in Thailand? What kind of visa are you on?

- in some way . i am kinda confuse like as many - -

well my brother is coming to chiangmai in about 1 week time . and he was last here 2 month ago .

as for me i been here for a while and i am sure i had passed the 90 days visa - which i relay on Visa run every month .

i am in the process of starting a cafe here - but had in vain to find a good location . over the last 6 month or so . but that bussiness.

-

i am trying to see what are the Pro and COn to teh changes and what can people who don't fall under their Thin red line do ..

Thailand is a great country , but the Gov self impose Income quota and all the limit it set

is making it and focing people to lie or cheat ..

and if an bussiness do not run in such income . why invest the large sum to do it in the first place .

not everyone is a bussiness man .

while the thai income is from 4000-5000-10,000 baht

why do people from oversea had to had a limit of at least 30,000-40,000 -

is that the way to run a business ?

well if i regsiter a company , pay the taxes . and so on and so on . my aunnal spending would be about 19,000-25,000 baht .

is almost the same as the money i paid for my Visa run which click up about 1,200 baht - 1,500 every month .

and the addition bonus to start a company is that i get to earn legally - as in WORk .

i am just weighting my limited knowledge of what i know .

i may be wrong - do correct me .

do anyone know of any VISA that fit anyone from 21-49 without starting a bussiness ?

and their parent is staying in thailand for retire and need to be taken care off .

From your evasive reply, I gather you don't do much for a living in Thailand except for dreaming ... Sorry, that won't convince immigration department to figure out a way for you to stay longterm ... If you can't do better - you've focussed on the wrong country ...

No new visa required - just get a tourist visa - it really isn't that difficuly...

i read up about the tourist Visa 60 days . - plus a 30 days extention and when finsh i got to get another 60days visa .. sound fair for me .

i might just go with that for a while . till my bussiness is set up .

i am also planning to relocate my thai house to china . as the visa rule is much simple .

anyway is all plan .

i want to wait a while and see how this progress..

and will withhold the investment i intented to put into a cafe for a while just in case i wanted to leave .

is not big investment but i just want to protect myself cos from all this changes i know that the gov is not looking after my best intrest so i got to take care of it myself .

These changes have been foreseen for several years and IMHO are long overdue.

My guess is that the Immigration Dept had to get their on-line computer system working before they could act effectively.
