The End Of Multiple Entry Tourist Visas

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Sorry to be the bearer of yet more bad new, but it looks like the Thai embassies have already received instructions to stop multiple entry tourist visas.

I just emailed Parvez Book Store (visa agent) in Penang and this is what they had to say;

"Hi there,

About the news that You heard, its true. Now in Penang Royal Thai

Consulate they have stop issuing the "2" Double and "3" Triple entry Tourist

Visa, and they have announced the news in the local news paper here

yesterday, that was on the 12/09/2006. and they now only issued "1" single

entry Tourist Visa only. And the new rules and regulation is effected

begin from 12/09/2006".

Please tell all your friend about this information.

Regards

Mohamed

Its only a matter of time before they do what the Thai Embassy in Laos has done, and refuse to give any more than 3 out to an individual. Back to back or otherwise :o

Well there you go.. Of course it wouldnt be allowed to just take the plave of 30 day runs..

So no more tourist visa's.. No more visa runs..

What do the sanctimonius oldies suggest so many young retires and long stay travellers do now to simply 'get a real visa' ??

They might say "get a real airline ticket" to another country!

Any other reports of single entry tourist visa?

Maybe - have we heard from other embassies that this is the case yet? I think its a bit premature to say it's over. :o
