ezzra
Removing bird's eggs for consumption...unless that bird was been an Emu, otherwise, why bother with 2-3 tiny eggs to feed on?

wirat69
At age 44 you would think one would have learned that the birds generally build their nests in places as far away from predators as possible....

chickenslegs
Removing bird's eggs for consumption...unless that bird was been an Emu, otherwise, why bother with 2-3 tiny eggs to feed on? Well, the two women were out searching for ant's eggs, which are even smaller. But the answer to your question may be that she was poor and any eggs are better than no eggs. Everybody eats ant Eggs in Issan, you ll see people with long sticks all over Issan , walking motorbikes, they take the whole nest in one piece, Then fry them with scrambled eggs or pieces of fish, I would not dare, but they love it...
