I was walking along beach road lst night from walking street to the royal shopping center to see a movie with a girl. two girls walking in front of us, minding their own business, dressed well, not bothering anyone and the police stopped them in front of us and demaded to see their id's. these girls werent bothering anyone but my girl and I were hassled and grabbed at by at least a dozen guys trying to sell us suits. the police need to get their priorities straight and get to the offenders.

Why do you think the Police are checking ID`S along Beach Road....it is because of all the crime that is being committed there and they are doing it to protect the likes of you and your girl from becoming the victims of crime and from being hassled by prostitutes, pimps and thieves who we have seen lately will not only interrupt your meander to see the latest blockbuster movie but may also stab you, rob you and worse.

As far as the front men for selling suits are concerned just tell them Mai ow khrap and they will leave you alone or totally ignore them which they hate.

Priorities? I`ve never heard of a tailor`s tout stabbing or murdering anyone...but yes you may get robbed by the tailors if you succumb to the earnest appeals of their touts.

In my book the expression "kiddie fiddling" is an unacceptable and irresponsible trivialisation, (indeed a euphamism likely to be used by apologists), of an horrendous crime that is rife in our city and which attracts criminals from all over the world,

Britmaveric decided to answer my post and used words that trivialize child molestation. He calls it "child fiddling" and that it is not in the open.

That is your personal interpretation of the phrase. I have seen many an angry and sincere denunciation of child molesting on these very pages using the term “kiddy fiddling" and they were in no way "trivial".

On top of that, Brit has always stated clearly that he finds such behavior to be abhorrent and that he would personally intervene if faced with such a situation.

He indeed deserves an apology.
