PATTAYA: -- On Thursday it was revealed that a Thai Family who live in Pattaya were seriously injured in an elephant attack in the early hours of 1st June at a Forest in Kanchanaburi Province.

Khun Anuchar aged 47, his wife Khun Yawalak aged 44 and their 8 year old daughter were well enough to be transferred to the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya on Thursday and the family contacted the local media to highlight their story.

The family had gone on a camping holiday and had gone to bed at 10pm on 31st May. Just before 2am on 1st June Khun Anuchar was awoken by a noise coming from his car, as if someone or something was hitting it. He went to investigate, along with his Wife and Child and they were confronted by the angry Elephant who charged towards the family.

"He went to investigate, along with his Wife and Child" yes he did!!!!

Camping ? In this heat ? Not even a fan ? Brave souls indeed.

It is likely that this family were in a room , where they were staying, and heard a noise outside by their car.

Going to investigate, was a bad thing to do, when they were attacked by an elephant.

It would have been better to stay where they were at, and let the car get damaged, but

now they are recovering and still alive, so they should be grateful for that.

There are people who are tenting in Thailand these days, and I think they are either very brave

or very crazy people. Way too many bugs and other critters for my liking to be in a tent during

the night, when I am in that country. Oh and even Elephants that are awake in the night!
