I am confused up to my eyeballs!

Flying from Brisbane to London, i intended having a 24 hr stopover (rest break) in Bangkok.

On my return i intended staying in Thailand for as long as possible to see more of the country, not having yet been to the north. Now i am wondering just how long i can stay. I am by the way retired.

Can anybody please give me a clue! there seems to be so many combinations to the Thai visa requirements.

Another question, i have read in another place that there appears to be quite a few European prostitudes coming into the country, especially in the Pattaya area and particularly from Russia.

My question is , just how do they get a work visa for prostitution, and if by chance they are working illegally, why are they not arrested. :o

Sorry but :o

(They dont have work permits, and are deported only to return).

Regarding your visa situation it really depends upon how long you wish to stay upon your return as to which visa to apply for in the first instance.

If you wish to stay for 3 months for sake of arguement and can persuade Immigration to let you enter the first time on a 30 day upon arrival stamp then a single entry tourist visa would suffice (i.e if they allow you not to utilise the single entry visa and hold it back for your return visit)............If you wanted to be doubly sure then apply for a double entry tourist visa then you are definately ok for the 3 month stay.

If you wanted to stay for up to 6 months upon your return and can get away without utilising the first entry of a tourist visa then a double entry would suffice or once again apply for a triple entry if available to be doubly sure of a 6 month stay.

If you are over 50 you also have the option of applying for a Non Immigrant O visa based upon retirement these come in single entry form good for 90 day stay or multiple entry good for 90 day stay once again but can be used over and over again to recieve fresh 90 days stay up until the expiry date on the visa.

Another option if you wished to stay a year at a time would be to extend the Non Immigrant O visa by a year at a time subject to meeting certain requirements........biggest of which is to have 800k in the bank here and be over 50.

If you were not confused before i bet you are now..........

(Easier to tell us how old you are and how long you wish to stay each year :D )

Only one problem............seems a long way to go for a visa when he will be in London. :o

Just my opinion but it seems much easier getting everything in place before leaving Oz.
