I need to go to VTE to submit my Non-B visa. I just realized my passport expires less than 6 months. 17 November to be exact. Will I still be able to fly into Laos and return to Thailand?

You must have six month remaining on your passports validity to enter Laos.

You also need 6 months to apply for a visa.

You can enter Thailand with less than 6 months validity.

It normally takes about 10 days to get a new passport. Not sure if they are still having problems with applications due the recent glitch they had. You should contact them to find out if things are back to normal. Info here: http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/passports.html
