PHNOM PENH, June 21 (Xinhua) -- The ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP) has categorically rejected rumors that Prime Minister Hun Sen would step down after he was elected as the CPP's president on Saturday.

According to a CPP statement released Saturday night, after the 38th congress of the CPP's Central Committee elected Hun Sen as the party's president, rumors spread that Hun Sen would stop holding the post of the prime minister.

"For this issue, the CPP would like to publicly announce that Hun Sen still continues to be the prime minister and will be the (party's) candidacy for the post of prime minister in next terms in accordance with the past resolutions of the party's congresses," the statement said.

CPP ready for shock
Mon, 22 June 2015

Hundreds of ruling Cambodian People’s Party youth members swore an oath of fealty to Prime Minister Hun Sen yesterday, a vow which if broken some believe will lead to their deaths by lightning strike.

Pankhem Bunthan, president of the Youth Federation of Senaneak (YFS) said the group had decided to take the oath after Hun Sen challenged opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party president Sam Rainsy to swear by his claims of political manipulation by the CPP at the Preah Ang Dangker statue.

“We are taking the oath here today to protect the purity of the [CPP]. Sam Rainsy has accused the CPP of vote buying in 2013 and said that the Cambodian Red Cross is biased in its food distribution,” he said.

The sad, and hurtful reality in the world, is that pigs do not retire. Men such as Hun Sen, who has killed, maimed, stolen, and generally disrespected nearly everyone he has ever come into contact with, just don't die. They continue to haunt us, until they are arrested, or deposed. With many men of his ilk, they just stay on until they want to leave. Good men seem to die young. Horrible men like Sen, with no regard for humanity, who have amassed billions upon billions of dollars of ill gotten gains, seem to live to very ripe old ages.

Rainsy is a truly great hero. He is one of the few men who has openly challenged Pig Sen and lived to tell the tale. Of course Pig Sen would challenge the veracity of anything Rainsy says or does. He has openly accused Sen of ordering the murder of the great union leader Chea Vichea in 2004, which was correct. No man with a personal security detail of over 5,000 men, is a man of honor. Sen does not possess an ounce of honor. He is a gangster and a thug, and a crime lord. Right up there with Thailand's other charming neighbor Than Shwe. What a rich region! Two absolute despots as neighbors. Edited by spidermike007
