NAY PYI TAW, (Xinhua) -- CLMV (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam) countries reaffirmed their commitment Monday to further strengthening economic cooperation sectorwise and cooperation for peace, stability and prosperity in Southeast Asia.

To promote trade and investment, a joint statement of the 7th CLMV Summit, issued in Nay Pyi Taw, reiterated CLMV countries' commitment to implementing all existing agreements between and among CLMV countries, encouraging the maximum use of the Lao- Myanmar friendship bridge which was officially opened early this year.

The summit agreed that the Single Stop Inspection at the international border checkpoints Dansavan (Laos)- Lao Bao (Vietnam) should be expanded and implemented between CLMV countries to enable emergence of a network of such single stop inspection checkpoints to facilitate trade, investment, tourism and transportation.
