On the TM47 you have to complete for your 90 day report you're asked which visa you hold, and there are 2 options which are Tourist and Non immigrant .

Why on your next 90 day report you don't tell the immigration officers that they don't know the law since you don't have a visa.coffee1.gif

Appears you have to be corrected again. If you can read Thai you will see it only says 'Visa Type' next to the two check boxes. Not 'what Visa you hold'. It means what Visa you entered on. Note that it is next to all your arrival information.

You continue to give inaccurate information and really need to cease, plus being off topic.

and just correct his other little assertion that a criminal conviction means your "visa" is automatically revoked

actual case by a TV member that went through Jomtien court....no mention of any visa being pulled and it was for DUI

I have a friend that did 6 months in jail for weed possession, nothing was revoked/cancelled and he was not deported.

6 months only for drug ? Not the usual 30 years ?

Legally speaking it not a question can they, yes they can deport you, the question is will they ? So whether some gets deported or not would be on a case for case basis

And another post by someone in the same thread.

I knew of a man (since died) who was the husband of my wife's friend who was caught on his motorbike visiting his friend's house in the same Moban. He had to appear in court the next morning. The court in turn required a letter from the local Immigration Office (not sure what that was about). Everybody was really worried because it seems it depended on the contents of said letter whether he would be deported or not....it was serious stuff. Eventually it was all sorted the way a lot of these type of things are here.

And one more

3. Drunk on bike, at around the same time, fri night. locked up, bail refused. Monday off to court, fined 3000 baht, another 25000 in "legal fees" to avoid visa cancellation

And one more in the thread that you yourself linked so proudly to

Seems like the OP has forgotten to update, i know him, he ended up going to immigration and had to pay 25K to keep his visa.

But OK, if you say that visas don't get pulled for drunk driving, maybe you suffer from memory loss.

and what exactly is the point your trying to make Anthony ?

what I said there gels exactly with what you posted from the law....."May"....they reserve the right to.

You obviously struggle with words "like" "shall", "should", "may" and "could" as you don't know the difference in the meaning

just to refresh your memory of what you said " A criminal conviction automatically revokes a visa" no it doesn't, and nothing I said below, even supports that assertion

and its even stated its on a case for case basis....."case for case" basis is not automatic

so please stop trolling Anthony
