PATTAYA: -- A 46 year old Minivan driver died in a road crash on Highway 36 in East Pattaya on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash occurred on the Pattaya-bound carriageway in the Pong area and resulted in the death of Khun Tanongsuk. Also inside the minivan was the victim’s wife, Khun Sunee aged 34 who was seriously injured.

Located nearby is a restaurant owned by Khun Sira aged 28. She heard a sound which appeared to resemble an exploding tire and then heard the crash and called the Police as soon as she saw the carnage which ensued.

Correction- The daily crash in Pattaya, right on time.

Actually I think we are both right.

.....so unsettling...especially when you have to ride in them....

...and nothing seems to change....no improvement.....

...just announcement after announcement....claim after claim....

Amazing !

Restaurant owner hears the sound of a tyre exploding.

Something tells me speed and lack of driving skills was the cause of this regular occurrence.

You do not have to do anything. The choice is yours.

Most mini van drivers could be Kamikaze pilots, Not sup surprised about this mini van crash,

The drivers don't recognise they are responsible for the safety of fare paying passengers.

Time the Government came down real hard on these crazy mini van drivers.

So it's not just the passengers they want to kill, they're intent on suicide as well.

No way a flat tire should lead to a rollover and death. Putting my life in the hands of one of these fools for some BS border run is my biggest fear.

could have had ten tourists in that van... that is ten potential victims of the murderous Thai drivers who will live to see another day. sorry for the wife.

3 monthly inspection of the vans tuk tuks and buses and taxis or put them all of the road and take away the rego and number plates than sell them for scrap metal,,,, thats the only way that you can expect some change for the better and safe a lot of lives,,,,,,Sorry this is Thailand, money and greed is more import than peoples lives,,,,,,,

The van will be back on the road in a few weeks time.

Thai insurance companies don't know the words write off.

The really scarey thing is, that these mini-vans are probably just repaired after these horrific accidents, and then put back into circulation, to be driven by all these " Biggles " types, that intent on trying to get the things off the ground, and flying.
